The Right Room: What Happened at Dean Davidson on April 9.
75+ Toronto leaders. One stunning boutique. A lot of very good gin.
The Meetwell had its official launch on April 9th. And the room did exactly what we hoped it would.
We took over the Dean Davidson boutique in Toronto - a space that already knows something about beautiful things - and filled it with 75+ of the city's most interesting people. Leaders, builders, founders, and connectors who showed up, glass in hand, ready to actually talk to each other.
The drinks were courtesy of Joie de Vivre, a Canadian-made, woman-owned gin that felt exactly right for the night. Crisp, considered, and worth raising.
We didn't have an agenda. We didn't have panels or name tags with your job title. We had the space, the people, and the belief that when you put the right humans in a room together, something real happens. And it did. There were introductions that turned into collaborations before the night was over. There were people who'd been orbiting each other's worlds for years and finally shook hands. There were conversations that started over gin and will likely end up on a board agenda.
That's the whole idea. The Dean Davidson boutique was a fitting backdrop - Canadian-made, community driven, designed with intention. It felt deliberate, because it was.
This was our first event. It won't be the last. If you weren't in the room this time, founding membership is open now. The next gathering is coming. You should be there. Why? Because you belong here.
